For me real estate is the perfect combination of esthetics and emotion. I enjoy the thrill of finding shelter that provides security and fulfills a personal, social, or community need. I like the satisfaction of matching buyers and sellers (and their personalities and needs) with one another.
An entrepreneur at heart, I’m an experienced Realtor® (and former attorney). My life partner and I live in a ca. 1850 center hall colonial farmhouse in Ghent, NY. It’s set on nearly 50 acres, most of which provide hay, wheat, barley, and cattle grazing for nearby Hawthorne Valley Farm. Columbia, Northern Dutchess, Greene, & Ulster counties are my sweet spots in terms of coverage areas, but I’ll go the ends of the earth for my clients.
I work quickly and efficiently, I’m detail-oriented, and I’m thorough. But, I ask a lot of questions so that we don’t waste time and you are put in a position to find exactly the home you want. I am equally passionate about antique and ultra-modern architecture. (Why not be bi-genre?) If you dig one or the other, or both, we’ll definitely work well together.
Politically active and a self-described “chronic volunteer,” I sit on the boards of the Hudson Area Association Library and the Perfect Ten Afterschool Program, and I am an active member of my law school’s black alumni organization.
I was born in Nassau, Bahamas, and I am a graduate of both Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and Boston College Law School. I am a passionate traveler and lover of languages, and I speak Portuguese, Spanish, French, and a little German.
I have been actively practicing real estate since March 2014.
